DIY divorce might not be best route

Do-it-yourself books have been around for a long time. Now, many people buy do-it-yourself software. One company is taking do-it-yourself software to a place it hasn't yet gone: divorce.

The company is called Wevorce and says that the company's software, along with "divorce architects" will be able to assist a person through the divorce process without the need for an attorney or involvement of the courts. However, during the divorce process, there are many different unexpected issues that might arise. Sometimes a spouse won't negotiate on a key ideas in the divorce process. This can result in a person needing to go to court.

Other issues such as asset division and child and spousal support can be extremely complex. An experienced divorce attorney in Illinois can help a person work through the sometimes complex process of seeking a divorce.

If a person doesn't understand their divorce agreement, they might find out after the divorce is finalized that the amount of assets they are receiving or the support they will receive is not sufficient to sustain their lifestyle. It is important that a person receives a fair divorce settlement.

It can often be difficult for a person to change a divorce agreement after the divorce is finalized. This is why it is so important for a person to speak with an experienced attorney who can help them navigate the ups and downs of the divorce process and will work in their best interest, including going to court to get a fair divorce, if necessary.
